Our music

 

We Play a wide variety of music depending on the occasion for which we are performing, and sometimes we pick pieces just becasue we enjoy them.

In the Park

At summer fetes such as this one we keep the music light. That keeps the mood happy if the sun shines, and perhaps cheers poeple up a little if it is raining. Arrangements of film music, especially Disney, always goes down well, as does some pop music. Of course, no playout in the park would be complete without a march or two.

On Ceremony

At civic occasions more formal pieces are included, for example adapted classical works. Fanfares may be called for as well as processional music. It is an honour for the band to attend a Remembrance Service in November each year, for which we include specific hymns to accompany the wreath laying.
